The virulence of the new variant, forces us to be aware of the urgent need to limit the spread in all possible ways. The data on the vaccines clearly shows that they diminish all aspects of an infection. Hence, we shall reflect on the repercussions of not being inoculated and the ever more precious value of an hospital bed in the current wave.
There is still a lot to know going forward, as to how to measure the waning -with time and age- of the neutralizing antibody level and how that relates to protection.
However, as more people are vaccinated, the proportion of the variants that are susceptible to vaccines will decline, while those that are less so, may become a higher percentage of infections and if overall infections aren’t low, the risk of another wave increases.

Is the WHO restructured and reorganized, is the CDC ready to be more transparent and coherent on his prevention policies? Is the FDA going to do something to help up the vaccination efforts? Are the political leaders around the world, ready to ensure a better performance with their vaccines campaigns, to avoid the pandemic to linger in the whole planet?
